Payment Policies

The charge for your Conductive Keratoplasty procedure is $1900 for each eye, ($3800) for both eyes. This is a global fee covering the following services provided by Dr. Winthrop:

• all of your pre-operative evaluations and tests;
• your CK procedure;
• your post-operative exams with Dr. Winthrop on the first day following your LASIK, and at one week, one month, three months, and six months; and
• your post-operative kit, containing eye drops and other medications

If you are not a candidate after the exam there is no charge for the exam. If you are a candidate, but decide not to have the procedure, there is a $175 charge for the exam. For your convenience, we accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, personal checks and cash. In addition to these forms of payment we also provide financing. Our interest rate is lower than most credit cards and our "Twelve Months Same as Cash" plan has no interest associated with it. If you are interested in financing your procedure, our coordinator will be happy to tell you about our Vision Access Plan. CK is generally not covered by insurance, as it is deemed an elective procedure. If you believe that your policy will cover CK, please bring in your insurance information and we will check it for you.
